I think this is my favorite song. One of my favorites that I have ever written. It is SUCH a simple song that I dedicate to all creative people in the world. I got the idea for The Starry Eyed from my friends, Charlie Faye and Will Sexton. We were talking about starting a band together and she was throwing out some names. She said, The Starry Eyed Sailors, and I shortened it. We never started the band, but I wrote the song in my head one morning and put it to music. I just love the melody and harmonies. On the record that is Charlie Faye and Will singing with me. We also used glass and plastic water bottles to create some of the ethereal sounds on the track, to make you feel like you were sailing away with the Starry Eyed.
