about

Innsaei: Icelandic word that translates into 'the sea within', 'from the inside out' and 'to see within'.
After watching the documentary called Innsaei on Netflix, Noëlle was inspired to look deeper into her own intuition and how easily we get detached from it and lose our way, but when we connect to it the paths become clear.

lyrics

Innseai

Here I am with the rain on my face
On the floor of the forest, no steps to retrace
With a list of violations we’ve made
Against truth and wisdom and the quiet of the day

Innsaei, Innsaei
Waiting for the moment when you’re finally free
Innsaei, Innsaei
Swimming through the dark to the clear blue sea

When you bleed what shade does it run?
Is it dark the river or pale like the sun?
Pull the thread and it all comes undone
Does your heart give a warning like the beat of a drum?

Innsaei, Innsaei
Waiting for the moment when you’re finally free
Innsaei, Innsaei
Swimming through the dark to the clear blue sea

And I know you
Like a stone washed clean by the river’s edge
And I know you
Like a dream in a dream I already had
And I know you
Like the ground underneath my heavy head
And I know you

If I know what I’ve done is right
Then I shouldn’t be feeling this animal fright
Like a deer in the bright headlights
Just another survivor in the dark of the night

Innsaei, Innsaei
Waiting for the moment when you’re finally free
Innsaei, Innsaei
Swimming through the dark to the clear blue sea
Innsaei, Innsaei
Waiting for the moment when you’re finally free
Innsaei, Innsaei
Swimming through the dark to the clear blue sea
