Golden Hour came to me in such an organic, unfettered way that I knew it was going to be one of my favorites. It's a love song for sure, but even more, it's about desire and not wanting a good thing to end. Sometimes a specific moment, perhaps in a relationship or in life, everything is as golden as it can be and we just want to soak in it for as long as we can.
I want to see you in the golden hour
The light on your face
I want to see you in the golden hour
Your lines I could trace
Come lay with me in the golden hour
As the sun is sinking low
I feel you with me in the golden hour
Your radiant glow
I won’t “say when,” It’s never enough
As twilight bends to touch the dark
I won’t “say when,”
It’s never enough, it’s never enough
I want to see you in the golden hour
Catch the rays in our hands
Everything’s calm in the golden hour
Footprints in the sand
Sit with me now in the golden hour
Where we belong
Follow me through this golden hour
It’s almost gone
I won’t “say when,” It’s never enough
As twilight bends to touch the dark
I won’t “say when,”
It’s never enough, it’s never enough
It’s never enough, it’s never enough
It’s never enough
